Logicworks Launchs New Ops System
NEW YORK, June 23, 2005 -- Logicworks (www.logicworks.net), a New York City-based managed services provider (MSP), focused on enterprise-level managed hosting, today announced the implementation of LogicOps, its upgraded management and monitoring platform. In development for 18 months, and known as LogicOps2 throughout the process, the upgraded LogicOps is a complete re-write and update of the original platform. Written entirely with open source technologies, the system is completely modular and designed for maximum flexibility, easily facilitating future features and technologies.
Carter Burden, CEO and President of Logicworks says: “What we're rolling out this week has been baking for a very long time already, but it is really only the beginning -- day zero for our company in many ways -- providing the framework and roadmap for the evolution of Logicworks into the undisputed leader in Enterprise managed hosting.”
The primary benefits to Logicworks’ customers are an improved ticketing system, greater control over self-administration, and a more comprehensive history view. Going forward, customers will have a more comprehensive view of their infrastructure and services, and be able to generate service requests on individual services received. Customers will also be more readily informed on the progress of their open service requests through automated notification. The clearest and most visible improvement, however, will be a streamlined, more intuitive interface for submitting authenticated service tickets and reviewing closed tickets.
“LogicOps will significantly cut down the amount of time it takes to get individual technical account information to our client, as well as the ability for our Network Operations Centers to provision new services and respond to client requests,” says Gregg Kitaeff, Logicworks’ VP of Sales. “Our clients will have the ability to see everything about their account at their finger tips. LogicOps will quite simply provide an outstanding managed hosting experience.”
LogicOps is presented to customers through ‘My Logicworks’, the company’s self-service portal. Refining and delivering a platform-independent and standards-compliant Web-based service solution enables Logicworks to further enhance its 24/7 customer support. “LogicOps is the foundation of the vision of our company. It provides a fully integrated platform for all of Logicworks' systems management activities, ensuring absolute precision and tight security controls, not only for the services we offer now, but all the services we plan on offering over the coming decade” says Carter Burden. “More importantly, LogicOps provides a high degree of transparency into our operations for our customers, ultimately giving them a higher degree of control over their servers' administration, capabilities that we feel are essential to fulfilling the spirit of partnership that we have with our customers.”
