George Kerns, Chief Executive Officer


As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kerns is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of Logicworks operations. In the decade prior to joining Logicworks, he established a proven track record of success in the managed hosting industry, most recently as President and CEO of Fusepoint, which he led through rapid growth from 2005 through 2010 and through its successful acquisition by Savvis. He also served as President and CEO Digex which was acquired by MCI in 2003. Both firms were leading providers of managed enterprise hosting services to companies with mission-critical applications. Prior to Digex, he held senior management positions with other high-growth companies including BBN/GTE Internetworking - one of the first full service Internet Service Providers. Before his Internet-based career path, he held a variety of other senior positions in the wireless and IT industries at EDS Personal Communications, Contel Cellular/GTE Mobile Communications, Accenture and Deloitte Consulting. Mr. Kerns holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Furman University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.

Kenneth Ziegler, President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Ziegler is responsible for Logicworks overall business operations and execution of the company's strategic vision. He manages the day-to-day operations of the company and is accountable for the people, assets, and profits of the organization while maximizing client satisfaction and overall growth. Before becoming Logicworks President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ziegler served as the firm's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Logicworks in 2001, Mr. Ziegler worked in sales and business development at OVEN Digital, a leading web consultancy, and as a Systems Analyst at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Mr. Ziegler is a member of the advisory board of the NYC Academy of Information Technology and also serves on the Lincoln Center Business Council. Mr. Ziegler graduated from Binghamton University and holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems. He also earned an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Carter Burden III, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Mr. Burden founded Logicworks in 1993 to address the service gap left between physical infrastructure providers and large consulting practices. Based on his vision, Logicworks has become a leading provider of complex managed hosting and cloud computing solutions. As Founder & Chairman of the Board, Mr. Burden continues to serve as a thought leader and visionary on such topics as high availability computing, hosting, and cloud computing, with a keen eye towards emerging new technologies for the benefit of Logicworks clients. Mr. Burden is also the co-founder of Breaking Media, which publishes the Web sites Dealbreaker, Above The Law, and Fashionista. Mr. Burden attended Wesleyan University.

John Jun, Vice President of Finance

Mr. Jun is responsible for procurement and coordination of the many technology components that comprise Logicworks' complex hosting and cloud computing solutions. He works closely with our technology partners and vendors to ensure consistent and rapid provisioning of Logicworks services. Prior to joining Logicworks in 1999, Mr. Jun worked as the Controller for the US division of Nam Yeung Industries. John attended New York University's Stern School of Business where he studied Finance.

Stephanie Tayengco, Vice President of Network Operations


Ms. Tayengco is responsible for leading all aspects of Logicworks Network Operations Center (NOC), including staffing, project management, operations, new service design and implementation, and operations auditing for SAS 70 Type II and PCI compliance. Prior to joining Logicworks in 2000, Ms. Tayengco helped launch the Media Center at Columbia University, which sought to bring advances made in digital media and internet technologies to the entire University. Ms. Tayengco graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University.

Steven Zeller, Vice President of Sales


Mr. Zeller is responsible for leading all aspects of sales and business development at Logicworks including staffing, training, CRM automation and reporting. Prior to joining Logicworks in 2003, Mr. Zeller managed application development for Interactive Television and Broadband Platforms at Cablevision and prior to that at News Corporation. Mr. Zeller graduated from Pomona College and holds an Executive Masters of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University.

Thea Domber, Director of Client Services


Ms. Domber is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the client support experience at Logicworks. In this capacity she is responsible for the client services support team which includes account and project management and overall customer support. Ms. Domber joined Logicworks in 2008 after working for Alexander Interactive, overseeing the development and maintenance of their clients' websites and applications. She previously worked as the Online Brand Manager for Ziff Davis Media. Ms. Domber is a graduate of Colorado State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Technical Communication.

Jason McKay, Director of Engineering


Mr. McKay is responsible for leading Logicworks unparalleled Engineering team. In this capacity, he works closely with our technology vendors, partners, and R&D team to ensure that Logicworks service offerings meet and exceed the performance, compliance, and security requirements of our most sophisticated clients. Prior to joining Logicworks in 2005, Mr. McKay worked in technology in the Unix support trenches at Panix (Public Access Networks), and started his career as a systems administrator and consultant in the advertising and media production industries. Jason received a B. A. from Bard College and is a Certified MySQL DBA as well as an avid motorcyclist.

Elizabeth Portolese, Director of Human Resources


Ms. Portolese joined Logicworks in September 2011 to manage the Human Resources function for the company.  She is responsible for all areas of HR including performance management, recruitment, benefits, training and compensation.  Prior to Logicworks, she was the Human Resources Director for Radian Asset Assurance and before that she worked in management roles at Goldman Sachs and Federal Express.  Ms. Portolese graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a degree in Sociology.
